A few years ago I sent out a standard “thanks but no thanks” email to a series of unlucky job applicants. This is what I got back from one candidate (and I’m not making this up, I promise):
This is very disappointing news! It seems like only yesterday (it was actually close to 2 months ago) when I applied to be the International Programs Coordinator with Journalists for Human Rights. To bad you can’t apply the same standard of care and dignity to your job applicants as you do in your professional work. Really! You have completely ruined my holiday season with this news. I cannot believe that you won’t be giving me an interview!!!! And you have the audacity to tell me not to be insulted. You moron!
I’m kind of curious about something – Was I the only applicant that you sent that disgusting rejection to or did you have enough time on your hands to contact each and every applicant. Pig!!!
With complete and utter disappointment, shock and revulsion.
ROT IN HELL PIG MAN!!!!

And yes, he attached that picture, which looks disturbingly like someone I know quite well.
So, I did the only thing I could: I emailed him back and thanked him for cheering up my day!

Hahahahahha.
Last election we had anonymous calls saying that we were racist - because we didnt have enough photos of white kids on our site.
Good luck Pig Man!
wow, talk about burning your bridges!
LOL…This is Hilarious…I don’t even want to know what his reaction would have been if he got an interview but not the job.
