JHR Chapters host great events throughout the year from film screenings and panel discussions to comedy nights and social media workshops. Our two main events that every chapter participates I are HollerDay and Night for Rights
The first Thursday of November is HollerDay, the day where students across Canada literally stand for 16 hours in solidarity with the 1.6 million victims of sexual violence in the DRC, raising as much money, noise and awareness as possible.
Throughout the day JHR chapters organize 16 hours of on your feet activity like 'breakfast on the go' and the 'standing room only concert' For full details visit www.hollerday.ca
The second Friday in January, JHR School Chapters organize and host a Night for Rights (N4R). The common goal of N4R is to raise awareness about jhr's programming and raise funds to ensure that these programs continue to flourish. Check out the individual chapter sites to learn more about the N4R closest to you.
