So you're a die-hard human rights advocate and you believe media is the best way to spread awareness? Why not work with jhr (Journalists for Human Rights) overseas?
At jhr, we recognize the value of cross-cultural education experiences for North American university students as fostering a more active and engaged youth. We've developed a summer internship program which gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in and appreciate a completely different culture, opening their minds and broadening their worldview. Each Summer JHR sends highly-qualified youth to Ghana to work at community radio stations to produce news stories and assist with programming, editing, and advertising in cooperation with African students. This could be you. Join your local chapter and look out for applications in September. ** Only jhr chapter members are qualified for this internship opportunity. The application process begins in October of every year. Visit our resources page for an application. |
